Evaluation: Question 7 - Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

This is my college magazine and my music magazine, you can see how much my skills have developed by looking at the two. The general layout of them both is rather different as the coverlines are in box's in one, and on the other they are just put to a side. The masthead's are both in the same place buy my music magazine has had added effects as I have slanted the font and added hearts. This represents the genre of my music magazine. On my college magazine it is rather simple and 'boring' as the colours used don't really mix well together, whereas on my music magazine they do. This also shows how my skills have developed as I have identified the correct colours, size and fonts. As my coverlines are in neat boxes and on my college magazine they are not, this is a huge improvement as it makes it look more professional and organised. Both of the images used on this magazines are suitable as on my college magazine there is a costa sign, which represents my college. On my music magazine the image is also suitable as my model represents my genre through the clothes she is wearing. Also as there are images of make up and nail varnish which represent my genre. Also as I have take the images myself on my music magazine and on my college one I haven't. This shows the improvement of my skills. The font sizes of my coverlines on my college magazine are not suitable as they are too large, they need to be around a size 11 or 12 to make this suitable. I have improved this on my music magazine as they are the correct size and font, also as they are neatly presented in straight columms which shows its organised.

This is my music magazine and my college magazine which I created both on Photoshop. The general layout on both of these are not similar. The masthead on my music magazine is much larger than the one on my college magazine, it is much more noticeable. My music magazine has much more coverlines than my college magazine as it only has a few. My music magazine seems much more organsied and professional than my college magazine one as I have learnt and developed more skills on Photoshop. On both of these magazine's I have stuck to the 3 colour rule but on my music magazine they are much more brighter which is appropriate for my genre whereas on my college magazine it isn't as they seem dull colours. The same model is used for both of these magazine's as I felt she represented it well, but on my music magazine one she is wearing more appropriate clothing as she has been cut out better by using Photoshop. This is due to the improvement of my skills. The fonts and font sizes have been improved on my music magazine as they are more of a suitable size and font whereas on my college magazine they are all one size apart from my masthead which is larger. This had made my music magazine much more engaging due to the font sizes and colours.

Evaluation: Question 6- What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

These are all of the software devices I have used to create my whole magazine and my evaluations. Firstly I have used prezi through out my research and planning and also my evaluation to present my magazine. I have used twitter as a form of a networking site in which I got feedback on which colours best represented my genre. Photoshop has been used as a main program through out my whole magazine as this is what I used to create everything eg- double page spread, contents and my cover page. Blogger has been used through out the process of my magazine as this is what I've shown my progress on, every single piece of work I have done has been uploaded onto this to show my improvements and progress. iPhoto and Image Capture has been used to show and upload the pictures I have taken for my magazine. The SLR camera's have been used to take every picture which has been used on my whole magazine. iShowU has been used to show the progess and process of the actual making of my music magazine.

This is a drawing of what type of person I would be attracting through my media product. Around this I have wrote the type's of things they would be interested in, what music they would listen too and what Television Programme's they would watch. I believe the type of person who I would be attracting would be rather girly, as they would wear 'girly' colours like pink and purple's. I think this as my magazine is mainly targeted at a female base. I would think they would listen to the typical pop artits, like Rita Ora, One Direction ect. I think this as the genre of my magazine is clearly pop, so they would be attracted to that genre of music. I have put there intrests would be fashion as that's what pop magazine's are mainly associated with.
